15K Armor Question
Yes, it is a well known fact that the 15k Ranger Druid armor is broken. But many people have told me that if you buy the armor ahead of time, when it is finally fixed (lord knows when that will be) the next time you log in you will have the correct visuals.
Is this true? Others have told me that you would have to buy the entire site again in order to get the updated visuals. I don't know who to believe, but this money is burning a hole in my pocket, and nobody has ANY idea when the armors are going to be fixed. |

If you ever find out be sure to PM me as I would like to no this also. Since ale's visual applied to the ale (I really miss my little construction guy to get drunk with...sigh..I would pay 100K for a tankard of ale with my construction dude) you already owned I assume that this would to but I really don't no.

I've done graphics design and modelling at university so allow me to explain. Lets say I make a model of a box coloured red, with another smaller box coloured yellow on the top. These are saved as a single object. I'm then asked to change the yellow boxes colour to that of a spotted purple one. Ok no problem. I load up the object, replace the colour with the new one and save it. Same file name, nothing has changed but the contents. If this object was in use in a game, or something, all the old yellow boxes would become purple spotted ones. Its called overwriting... I mean think about it. The devs aren't going to have loads of old 15K armor models running about which people don't want, wasting resources... they will replace the exiting armor models and textures with new ones.. next you log in, your client will download the replacement and overwrite the old one. Whoever told you overwise is talking rubbish and/or they don't know what they're talking about. I'm wearing the 15K geomancer armor, even before the change... and its clearly not the same as the old model... end of story. Stop worring, spend you cash and enjoy... your armor update will come along in time. Why do people comment on things they clearly know **** all about?...sigh |

Still at least the new armor is incoming. Since its only +1 extra... best to just wait till the update just to be sure. |

when the armor is updated you will recieve the new skins. when your client connects to the server it requests a filename for whichever armor you are wearing(this is called a skin). When the armor is updated and your client sends this request the server will reply with the new skin. Don't worry about it, purchase the armor if you want it...it'll update.

Does anyone know which of the armors have already been updated, or if any of them wont be updated so we know which ones are safe to buy?

Is the 15k hydromancer armor "updated"? (ie different than the 1.5k set?)
Anyone got a picture of the 15k version? |

my question about this whole 15k armor set is this: Are there any benifits (other than 'new artwork') for these sets of armor.

I say everyone stop saving gold and material for the 15k armor and start focusing your savings on the fissure armor in the fissure of Woe.

Unless they run it by the development team and get a guarantee that things will work, they aren't going to promise anything, simply to avoid the troublesome situation of having put their foot in their mouths when and if it doesn't turn out the way they said it would. |
